CSS LOAD BALANCER doing PING SWEEPS

A Cisco CSS 11052 ids was picking up ping sweeps and we realized the load balancer was doing it. It was sweeping for 10.16.x.x subnet. I need to know why it's doing this and if there is a way to and turn it off.

The CSS has no reason to do this.

Is he source ip address a physical interface of the CSS or a VIP on the CSS ?

Is this subnet directly connected to the CSS or not ?

Is this 10.16.x.x configured anywhere in the config ?
