Q1. we want to implement Content Networking for the elearning system.
Their Data centre is in A. We have users in A & B
My question is:
where to place the content engine ??
1 in A (data centre) as CDM & 1 in B (remote office) as Content Engine. do we need Content Engine for A (for local users)?
Q2. currently we are using novell volera, is there any possibility to use/buy ACNS software and use the old server.
Q3. We have online elearning system, they have multimedia/streaming files but not real time. which license should i include/order ? (windows media / multicast / real system) ?
NM-CE-BP-80G-K9= Content Engine NM-80GB
SF-ACNS-5.2-K9 ACNS Software, version 5.2, option
SF-NM-RCPS-8.0 Combined Real System V8 Proxy and Subscriber for NM-CE-BP
SF-WMS-56 56 Mbs Windows Media License for CE-510-K9, CE-507-K9
SF-CE-510-TL-5.0 Multicast Client for ACNS 5 on CE-510-K9 CE-507-K9 NM-CE-BP
thank you

Q1 - you don't need a content engine in A unless you want to preserven your server resources.
Personally, I would recommend a CE in each location.
The CE in location A can server as CDM.
Q2 - no, you can only use the ACNS software on Cisco CE.
Q3 - I don't think you need any license for what you want to do - you don't need multicast, you don't need the real server running on the CE, ...
Finally, I would like to say that this technology is not really easy to deploy if you want to benefit from all the features offered by ACNS.
Therefore, it would be wise to request assistance from a Cisco Sales engineer.

Gilles.
