Is there any way to set the source of SNMP traps? We don't use management interface therefore it has 0.0.0.0 as IP address. When CSS generates an SNMP trap it sets SNMP source as 0.0.0.0 which is a problem for many SNMP tools to recongnize a real source of traps.
Thanks

is it the ip address of the ip packet on the network ??
Or is it the ip address contained in the snmp header ?
Do you have a sniffer trace showing this ?
There is a command 'snmp trap-source' but it only modifies the ip address within the snmp header.
You can give it a try so and see if this works for you.

Gilles.

Source in the SNMP hearder. IP header looks correct.
I'll try that command tomorrow.
Thanks!
