SSL module possible on CSS11501?

Hi all,

Our customers have asked if it is possible with our current CSS, to let the CSS act as a SSL termination device

So that the webservers get less burden, just plain http

As far as I understand it, you have to order a 11501 immediately with the SSL-module, and cannot order and install it afterwards

We have a CSS11501 with Harddisk and AC

and the following software:

S11K-501ST-7.2

WebNS V7.2X Standard Feature Set for CSS11501

S11K-SEC2-K9

WebNS Secure Management License: Enables Strong Encryption

Looks like if we want to do this, we need either a different CSS or perhaps there is another solution?

SSL functionality can not be added to an 11501 in the field. Another option would be to use a Cisco SCA 11000 Secure Content Accelerator:
