With the newest release just around the corner, The Cisco OnPlus team has brought VLAN awareness to the ON100! Connecting a IEEE 802.1q trunked interface to the ON100 will give portal users network discovery across all VLANs from the trunk. This helps brings a simple and intuitive method in aiding the OnPlus discovery process across your network.
In addition to helping with the discovery process, connecting the ON100 to a trunked port will also provide network connectivity to the VLANs defined on the trunk. The connected trunk interface can help avoid situations where devices were discovered via layer 2 (e.g. CDP, MAC Table) methods, but lacked proper layer 3 paths.
A standard IEEE 802.1q trunk configuration for the IOS based Cisco Catalyst 2960-S switch is provided in the configuration guide below.

Given this OnPlus isn't targeted at typical Catalyst customers, it's a smal business product, can you point to a KB on the proper config for Cisco Small Business switches that support trunking?

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your post. An example of a small business product is the SG300. Trunking and VLANs are discussed in Section 12 VLAN Management starting on page 173.
