Valued Business Partners and Suppliers:
For the 10th consecutive year, Cisco is requesting our partners and suppliers to report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to CDP. You should have already received an invitation from CDP to complete the questionnaire on behalf of Cisco (2019 Disclosure Info).
- Please coordinate internally and follow the invitation instructions to log-in and tell us that you intend to respond as soon as possible
- You must complete the CDP Climate Change questionnaire (plus additional Supplier Module for Cisco) and submit it through CDP’s Online Response System by July 31, 2019

Cisco is committed to reducing GHG emissions from our products, and internal and supply chain operations. Our long-term strategy includes suppliers completing the following five-steps:
- Report GHG emissions to CDP on an annual basis. Provide a corporate level response for facilities worldwide and address, at a minimum, the questions highlighted by Cisco
- Make the response publicly available and set permission for Cisco to receive your reporting status and emissions information
- Demonstrate verification (third-party review) of your GHG emissions
- Set a GHG emissions reduction goal (absolute reduction goals are preferred) and report annual progress against your goal
- Request that your suppliers and business partners also report to CDP using the same process described in this letter and in the four steps above
Addressing these five-steps is required to meet Cisco requirements and receive the top performance rating in Cisco’s supplier scorecard. Detailed guidance has been provided in the reference section below.
