Getting this error while creating VLAN on Nexus 9372 running IOS 6.1(2)I3(3a), seems like we need to convert to MST from RSTP, what can be the implications of converting it in real time as there is a critical network running on it.

How manu downstream switches do you have connected to this nexus?
Same question but for upstream switches?
You can configure mstp without applying right away. This means you don't configure spanning-tree mode mst.
By shutting down redundancy links you can have zero downtime if you have setup carefully all switches.
Also, will you migrate all stp to mstp or have mstp talking to rpvst switches?
