Has anyone else experienced this issue?
We did observe that the pixelation may last much longert than 20 seconds, in many cases it would seem to last minutes, or not end at all. We did also find that the pixelation was due to duplicate multicast streams, observed by the fact that the egress interface towards the receiver had twice the bandwidth usage that the multicast source ingress interface was processing, meaning the receiver receives 2x the stream at the same time.
Observing the multicast routing table on the last hop switch, it seemed that there was both an S,G entry and a *,G entry for the stream. Clearing the multicast routing table would fix the duplicate streams that were currently outgoing from that switch, but the issue would often reoccur if a new stream was requested by the receivers on the switch.
