Private VLAN issue

Hi

i want configure private-vlan on cisco switch science i write this command (switchport mode private-vlan host) on the interface automatically the interface go down , please help me

my switch is cat 3560

I'm not sure the 3560 supports private edge vlans, but it does support protected ports with "switchport mode protected".
