Problem Statement:
The current network topology involves a PBX with a static IP address (192.168.1.101) connected to a Cisco SG300 switch so are the IP phone all ports on SG300 are trunks, sg300 is trunked to a Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch. The objective is to configure Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize voice traffic effectively across VLAN 200. Specific goals include:
- Configuring VLAN 200 on both the SG300 and Catalyst 3850 switches to handle voice traffic.
- Implementing QoS policies on the Catalyst 3850 switch to prioritize voice traffic marked with DSCP EF (46) into Queue 4 with priority level 1.
- Aligning QoS configurations on the SG300 switch to mirror those on the Catalyst 3850, ensuring consistent handling of voice traffic across VLAN 200.
- Verifying the QoS setup to ensure proper prioritization and smooth communication for voice services through the PBX and IP phones connected to the network.
