I have two queries regarding MPO cables connectivity.

I want to know the exact MPO cable, Type ( A/B ) , Connector (Female / Male ), Mode ( Single / Multi ).

1. Which MPO-24 Cable may use for back to back ASR-9K 100G connectivity through CPACK-100G-SR10  ????

2.  Which MPO-12 Cable may use for back to back Nexus-9K 40G connectivity through QSFP-40G-SR4-S

Hi Gohar,

Your question: MPO-24 Cable may use for back to back ASR-9K 100G connectivity through CPACK-100G-SR10?

For a direct connection between two CPACK-100G-SR10 you will need a multimode 24 fibre cable with 24 fibre MPO female connectors on both ends. The polarity of is not A, B or C. I don't think it has a designation within the standards. We call it Polarity X for 100G SR10 and it pairs the fibres connector top row and bottom row together. I think the Cisco transceivers use the MT ferrule so you are best using an MTP - MTP cable (which use the same ferrules) and not generic MPO cable. We have these in various lengths in stock.

This would be a Polarity Type B MPO (female) to MPO (female) 12 fibre multimode cable. Again you would be best using one with MTP connectors. https://www.completeconnect.co.uk/products/mtp-patch-cables-fibre-OM3/

Hope that helps
