Cisco Insider Advocacy Program FAQ
1. What is new with this platform compared to the previous one?
We are now on the same platform as Cisco Insider User Group, providing you with a more seamless Cisco Insider experience. Not a member of Cisco Insider User Group already? Check it out here and sign up!
2. How will rewards and incentives work now?
We are making an effort to reward our most engaged members who are driving impact for the program moving forward. There isn’t a point system in place for rewards on this platform. Instead, we will align incentives to specific actions, campaigns, and activities. We will be offering new things that only Cisco can provide, like Cisco Press eBook vouchers, Cisco Store vouchers and merchandise, and much more to come!
3. What badges will I have here in the new program
You will get a badge for being a Cisco Insider Advocacy member, and a Rockstar badge if you reached the Rockstar level in the Influitive program. There are also special badges for Cisco Meraki Insiders, Cisco Insider Certs, Cybersecurity Heroes, and Webex Insider Advocates if you are a member of those programs.
4. How do challenges work on this new platform?
Challenges will be in the form of a discussion/survey post. It will not include any points upon any interaction. However, you can receive “Helpful Votes” which determines the ranking in the leaderboard. See more details below.
5. How does the leaderboard work? How can I increase my ranking?
This leaderboard is based on the number of “Helpful Votes” or likes that your comments and posts receive. To move up the leaderboard, make sure you are contributing with thoughtful comments and feedback, and the rest will take care of itself!
6. How can I interact/engage with other advocates?
You will have a chance to interact with other advocates by commenting on discussion forums and joining mentorship programs.
7. Who can I message if I have any questions or suggestions?
Please email insideradvocates@cisco.com for any questions/suggestions you may have.
