Hi,
I'm runing PI3.0 and was puzzle how PI sync/archive devices? We have hundred of devices and every now and then engr. will change the config or upgrade the device (eg. IOS)..etc.
But PI inventory database is always not up to date and I always have to do bulk sync and archive in PI GUI...Is there a better way of doing this via API or some other automation?
I thought PI will periodically poll the device for any changes and update its database but this is not what I get...Any idea?
Thanks

There's not currently a way to perform a sync via the API. However, we do have a user story for that on our backlog!
For configuration archives, a configuration archive job can be scheduled to run periodically. In 3.0 & 3.1, go to Inventory > Device Inventory > Configuration Archive, check all of the devices you want, then click Schedule. Enter your schedule parameters, and away you go.
