I am trying to do the AppD lab but in order to run the sudo commands i need the root password please help ASAP thanks.

Only from reading the thread, it appears the fix was put in place user centos on the Application Server in the Sandbox was added to the sudoers list. Try and create the folder without using sudo, this user 'centos' should have access to do this.

actually the commands in the lab still require us to use sudo, and that is not allowed since we do not have access to root. It is not working without sudo.

The lab might need to be updated per the thread, but you might not need to use sudo/root to run the command.
