CONFIGURATION ERROR while logging into agent_desktop

Most of times I am getting this error :

The device associated with extenision is invalid or device number is invalid.  and Sometimes this :

Sign In is taking too long. Please sign out and sign in again.

What does Jabber means  ? Do I have to install something on my machine?

Hello Piyush,

In order to access the agent desktop the agent in question must have a registered directory number. Cisco Jabber is a software client application that handles chat (XMPP) and phone calls (SCCP/SIP) between jabber and Cisco endpoints. Jabber can be used as the registered phone necessary to log into the Finesse Agent desktop. If you let me know what lab you're using (UCCX or PCCE) I can help you get connected to the agent desktop.
