with reference to your 2nd solution .I am facing same issue in Linux Open Connect VPN Client under Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS. Video attached for the reference.

Issue has bee resolved. VPN has been established now. I can access the lab. Thanks for your Cisco Devnet Team,
