Secure Endpoint

Hello,

We have a case where someone had installed Secure Endpoint (Mac) and all went well.

However, after the install, they decided to change the hostname on the Mac.

How can I update the name as it appears on the Secure Endpoint dashboard?

Changing the hostname locally reflects the hostname in the Secure enpoint Console with the next heartbeat. NO action needed. The GUID stays the same, while hostname updates.

check the policy being used by the mac to see what it says in the advanced section under Identity Persistence. It will help in order to make recommendations. I use "by host name across the Organization"

Hello @Jim2k
I am not too sure that we have the Identity Persistence option.

Hi,
As I thought, we do not have that feature:

So macs do not use Identity persistence. @larry   just out of curiosity do you both the old and the new name in the console?  or did it fix itself at the next heartbeat
