I have a interesting issue.
I installed a ASA 5510 in our network, transparent mode,inside the network we run apple xserves with AFP file sharing turned on. Our network has 3 others building running on other subnets.
All traffic runs well thru the ASA, however trying to access the xserves file sharing via AFP fails to connect from the remote subnets. However, when I want to access a Windows server with AFP the connection works well.
I input statements to allow AFP access via access-list using tcp port 548.
I am at a loss as to why windows file sharing works with apple afp protocol but not apple xservers on the remote subnets.
Any suggestion?
