just upgraded both the asdm to 6.02 and the boot image to 8.02 but cannot load asdm now. I have also double checked for the boot system line as well as the asdm image line- don't really want to downgrade.
I think you should do a clean install of ASDM 6.0.2 on a fresh machine and check if you face the same problem. Also check for the java version installed in the machine, the version installed should be the recommended or a later version.
