I have a customer who is using an ASA and he wants to know if there is a way to log when a user is booted and reconnects, and which IP address that happens to? He says he can currently see the time connected, but wants to see the other activity.

You will need to use a syslog server for this. You should see the event in the ASDM if you are watching the log monitor when it happens.

The only issue with the syslog server is that is captures a lot of traffic and you will have to filter out what you are looking for.
