ASA failover with different CSC module

Hi there,
I would like to ask if the ASA failover/ sync is still working when the primary ASA has a CSC-SSM-20, the secondary a CSC-SSM-10?
The ASA's are the same type/memory.

Thanks,
Borbert

Hi Borbert,

That shouldn't be possible as per link:

http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00807dac5f.shtml#failgi

“In terms of failover, both ASA units that have AIP-SSM or CSC-SSM modules must be of the same hardware type. For example, if the primary unit have the ASA-SSM-10 module, the secondary unit must have the ASA-SSM-10 module.”

Hope this helps !
