ASA IPS module down

Hello All,

I am facing an issue with an ASA IPS module. Its showing down. I have tried reset/reload/shutdown, but no luck.

ASA# fail exec stand show module ips details

Have you tried to reset the module? If that doesn't help, I assume that you have to reimage the module.

Yes, I did that. But it didn't make any change.

How do I reimage module?

That's shown in the config-guide:

But how long is your IPS license running? If it's not that long (remember that the legacy IPS is announced EOL), I would directly migrate to the newer FirePOWER.

I see that the license key has expired.

Then I wouldn't invest any more time in recovering that system ...
