In mutiple context mode and ASA version 8.4.2, I can view message log via ASDM, ssh, console...but ASA version 8.4.7 is not. I wonder, Is this a bug?

Hmm,
If this was working with the exact same configuration then it seems like a bug.
Have you tried to look for the logs on all of the contexts?

Hi.
Firewall is ASA version 8.4.7 and Context mode: Multiple and Firewall mode: Routed

so yes the defect specically talking about ASA version 8.4.7 Multiple context, transparent mode and you're runnning it in routed mode. Looking at your problem description, it seems the problem is with transparent and routed both modes because with ASA 8.4.2 it works fine irrespective of firewall mode.
