ASA with failover

Hi!

I have configured lan/state failover with ASA 5520. When testing failover i loose contact in about 20 seconds is this normal?? does anyone know what time to expect, until the connection recover to secodary unit?

Howdy

If you have configured stateful failover and it is working correctly you shouldn't loose connectivity at all when failover over from the primary to the standby , which is prtty much the whole point of stateful failover.

However when failing back from the standby to the primary it would be normal for current connections through the firewall to drop.
