Hello, guys

Could you please help me with two questions?

I have installed anyconnect plus license (AC-PLS-1YR-25-S) on a hardware ASA 5512x, is it possible to move this license to ASAv in the future?

if I will buy ASAv5 (L-ASAV5S-K9=) and in the future I will need to upgrage throughput to ASAv10. In this case I will need to buy a new lisence for ASAv10 (L-ASAV10S-K9=) with no other options?

This comment is in 2015, but I am confused with AnyConnect licenses as well,  if I have ASAv10, that supports 250 VPN, do we still need AnyConnect license? if so is it possible to have two bundle of AnyConnect licenses attached to it?

Yes you are still required to have AnyConnect/Secure Client licenses.

Note the AC-PLS-1YR-25-S is a 1 year term license. On the ASA 5512-X is is a classic license type. You will need to migrate it to a Smart license in your software.cisco.com portal.

At that point, you can associate the ASAv (or any other firewall that uses Smart licenses - such as FTD) with the license as long as the term remains active.

The AnyConnect/Secure Client smart licenses are per number of unique users and not limited to how many firewalls can draw from that pool of licenses.
