Automated connection count to an IP address

Hello,

I've been asked to provide statistics to a particular IP address at regular intervals.

Via the CLI, I am running the command "show conn address x.x.x.x" which gives me a list of all the connections.

I am then copying the output to Notepad++ and then looking at how many lines are populated, puting this into another spreadsheet.

My question is, is there any other method of finding the number of connection counts to an IP address or is there any automated process that anyone here has come accross?

Thanks

Nilesh

Hi,

Purely from the ASA CLI you could use the command

show local-host x.x.x.x

It would list the connection related to the specified host and also the more specifically the number of TCP/UDP flows currently on the firewall.

Hope this helps
