c3005 https admin via Public intf

Cannot manage via https on public interface get 403 (not authorized) error. Managment via private interface is OK. Access rights are configured https is enabled. I have tried tcp:443 and reconfigured for tcp:8443 same outcome with traffic management rules and filters in place. SSL certificates have been re-generated and the device has been re-booted at every opportunity. Is webVPN hijacking the connection ? If so what is the workaround? 3k is running 4.7.2.J 02/11/06

I knew I'd find it as soon as I posted !

The answer is in the release notes (RTFM).

As of 4.7.2 and above there is a webVPN tab on the interface. Tick box for Allow management https sessions.

Hope this helps someone else.
