Cisco ASA 8.2(4) Static NAT with multiple nameif

Any one can give an idea on what is the following static NAT doing in version 8.2?  or any case need these static NAT with one to many nameif ?

 Configuration:

    static (inside,a) 172.19.1.165 172.19.1.165 netmask 255.255.255.255
    static (inside,b) 172.19.1.165 172.19.1.165 netmask 255.255.255.255
    static (inside,c) 172.19.1.165 172.19.1.165 netmask 255.255.255.255

fw# sh xlate | inc 172.19.1.165
Global 172.19.1.165 Local 172.19.1.165
Global 172.19.1.165 Local 172.19.1.165
Global 172.19.1.165 Local 172.19.1.165

fw# sh run nat-con
no nat-control

This rules can be read as "if the host 172.19.1.165 on the inside interface is communication to host on interfaces a, b or c, then translate the source-adresse to 172.19.1.165". In effect you configured the host to be exempted from NAT when going to a, b or c.
