CSM Refresh Hit Count with Shared Access Rules

Hi all,

I observed a strange behaviour in CSM by refreshing the Hit Counts for an Access Rule with Shared Policy.

If I click the "Refresh Hit Count Button" without marked any Access Rule Line, only the Hit Count for the Rules in Default Policy Section will be refreshed, although "Local" Policy Selected will be displayed in the Selection Window. In this window, selected rules is "All Rules"

As soon as I select the "Local" Policy or the "Mandatory" Policy, the selected Policy will be displayed accordingly in the selection summary and the Hit Count will be updated as expected for the selected Policy.

I observed this behaviour on different CSM releases and also on different ASA configurations.

CSM 4.12 with ASA5585 9.1(6) Active/Standby mulitcontext

CSM 4.9 with ASA5585 9.5(3) Cluster mulitcontext

From my point of view, if the Local Policy is selected, the counters for this policy must be updated and not another one. I would have preferred the possibility to update all Hit Counts once.

What is your opinion? Someone who has observed the same?

Thanks for any input.

Oliver
