Decrease latency application-db on Cisco ASA

Hello,

we have an application which creates 1400 query to db oracle in 18 seconds (I know it is a poorly written application) if application server and db oracle are on the same vlan. In my case there are two Cisco ASA 5550 in between, so latency increase from 18 seconds to almost 1 minute. Is there any way to decrease latency on ASA ?

With a packet capture I got 80000 packets in less then one minute.
