Do I have option to let a user name from two different hosts to connect a ISE server at the same time?

Hi Guys:

When I tried to connect a ISE server from two hosts with the same user name, I came across an error:

pxgrid server ise27(ise27.devqa.net) is disconnected. status=Unknown XMPP error during connection

If I use different name, everything works fine.

May I ask if this limitation by design? Do I have option to let a user name from two different hosts to connect a ISE server at the same time?

Thanks a lot!

Shawn

Hey Shawn,

You can not register and connect to the ISE pxGrid node with the same host name for the pxGrid client, this is not a limitation by design, but for security purposes.

No the pxGrid client hostname must be different as it is tied to the FQDN and name certificate.

Thanks,

John
