Hi All,

wanted to know if ASA can automatically block an IP

I was monitoring the ASA using SNMPv3 on UDP 161 port using a IT monitoring

suddenly i received alerts saying that ASA was unreachable but I was able to access ASDM/SSH

An ASA can be configured to block SNMP (v3 or otherwise) while still allowing ASDM and SSH access. In fact, SNMP acces has to be explicitly allowed. So the most common scenario is that the configuration changed to no longer allow your monitoring system's address.

thank you, figured it out. It was the FortiGate. we have enable authentication for users to get internet access through FortiGate

once i authenticated from the server where the monitoring tool was installed
