Failover link requirements for Asa5580 with 10G interfaces

Hello,

If I use bundle ASA5580-40-10G-K9 in failover configuration should I use 10G interface for stateful failover link or 1G will be enough? Traffic on data interfaces will exceed 1G. Is a Etherchannel option available  on ASA for failover link?

Thanks,

Sergey

Usually the state link should be as fast as the fastest interface.

Failover Interface Speed for Stateful Links

If you use the failover link as the Stateful Failover link, you should use the fastest Ethernet interface available. If you experience performance problems on that interface, consider dedicating a separate interface for the Stateful Failover interface.

Etherchannel option is not available.
