Hi,

I want to purchase a FirePOWER product as IPS solution in my infrastructure. 

I choose to purchase the FirePOWER 8000 but do I need also to purchase the FireSIGHT Management Center or can I use only FirePOWER 8000 appliance?

Is it also possible to use in stand alone the FireSIGHT Management Center as an IPS appliance ?

You will want to buy both.  The management centre manages appliances.

In addition to what Philip correctly answered, you should work with your reseller or Cisco Systems Engineer (SE) to analyze the different platforms.

In most cases one of the newer platforms (2100 or 4100 or even 9300 series) will be a more cost-effective and scalable solution.
