i have PIX-525 firewall with no IOS " im working from monitor mode ".
i need to install 8.X IOS
can is install it immediatly , or should i install previous version and upgrade to 8.X .

Assuming your hardware meets the requirements for the release you have to install, you can load it via tftp and boot it directly given that you have no existing configuration to migrate. You must have a valid license with activation key.
