FMC Device Backup

Hello,

 

iam testing a FMC VM to manage 2 ASA5508-X Reimaged to Firepower in Version 6.2 (active/passive) and need to backup the devices. Is it possible to make a device Backup over the FMC?

No. Only 7000 and 8000 series appliances running the Firepower OS can be backed up to FMC (as of the current release 6.2.2).

Only those devices will appear under System > Tools > Backup/Restore > Add Managed Device Backup. Here's an example taken from abd FMC 6.2.2 that manages one each FTD, ASA Friepower service module and 3D7125 appliance:
