Hi,
From ASA command references, it seems that http access to the firewall is allowed, but does it actually mean that I am able to access via simple http or is it only via https?
As oppose to Cisco IOS, where it's clearly written in the command reference that both http and https is allowed, in ASA command references only http connection is mentioned. That is where my confusion comes from.
Thanks!

HTTPS access can be enabled via the command
Http server enable

Hi,
To my understanding the ASA only uses HTTPS/SSL connection for management purposes.
You can use a command to check on which ports the ASA is listening on. This seems to list only management related ports and active connections. I would imagine the ASA is actually accepting connection for other ports but I can't see them listed here.
You can use the following command
show asp table socket
Hope this helps :)
