IPS inline Fail

Hi,

I have configured the IPS appliance for inline VLAN pairing. What will happen if the IPS appliance powers down?

Will the traffic flow correctly without inspection?

No, in-line vlan paris will not fail-open when the unit looses power. Fail-open (connecting the two interfaces together) on power loss only works on Interface-Paris (not VLAN Paris and then only on the 4260 and 4270 sensors.
