IPS Inline Mode span configuration

In IPS V5 Inline Mode, should the second interface (where a packet comes out) of a paired interface be configured as a span port or a regular port? Where can I find more info about this? Thanks.

Need more information about your intended setup. Generally, the answer is "regular port". Your use of "span" leads me to believe you're implementing from a switch. In that case, be advised that if you're are attempting to loop back into the same switch that you originated from, you will need to have that second port in a different vlan. The sensor does not route, it is a "virtual wire"
