IPSMC 3.0 - Can IDS's inherit signatures settings from its parent group?

Hi. I am having trouble getting our IPS's to inherit signature settings from their parent group. I am hoping to enable certain signatures in the parent group and then have the IPS's in that group inherit the settings. I have tried enabling the sig in the parent group and saving the changes. But when I checked each IPS, I found that the signature is disabled. I tried to generate and deploy a config., but that didn't do it either. I thought if I changed a sig setting in the parent group and saved it, it would propagate to each IDS in that group? Can someone please help me out?

Try the mandatory setting. Then it should apply to all sensors in that group and all subgroups.

Another approach is to remove the specific settings for the sensor(s). Then the settings will be taken from the parent group (if settings exists).
