Manually remove CSA 4.5.1 agent

I have a server that ws built off site and had an agent kit installed. It has never contacted the MC. The uninstall fails and throws an error that looks like it comes from the installer. It starts with-

>SetupDll\Setupdll.cpp(2679)

pAPP:Cisco Security Agent

PVENDOR: Cisco Systems

PGUID: <long GUID appears here>

$9.1.0.429

Final line just has OS info.

If I look at the uninstall log with notepad, it appears blank but shows as 18K. Opening it in ultraedit shows a long series of NULLS.

Is there a way to gracefully uninstall it manually? I don't really care why it happened, I just want to get rid of it.

Thanks

Have you tried safe mode to uninstall? It may be a long shot worth trying. You could also try to disable the agent if you could uninstall.

If that fails, I would try to obtain and install a newer version of the agent and then uninstall that.

It might be easier to rebuild the OS on that box then go through the process of creating a new agent kit if you don't have CSA elsewhere in your org.
