Need to confirm if Packet tracer is not supported when ASA is in transparent mode?

Hi Mahesh,

You can for example check the Command Reference for your software level to confirm this

Here is a link to 8.2 Command Reference and "packet-tracer" command. It shows that the command is not usable in Transparent mode

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/p.html#wp1913020

Command Modes

The following table shows the modes in which you can enter the command:

Command Mode

Firewall Mode

Security Context

Routed

Transparent

Single

Multiple
Context

System

Priveleged EXEC mode

Hello Mahesh

Exactly, it just not related to the IOS is to the Firewall mode,

On transparent mode packet-tracer is not available, what a shame right, This is one of the thinks that make me go for the router mode

I mean packet-tracer rocks
