Hi Angel,
The error message that you are receiving is a part of the motherboard bios output; usually the bios output is suppressed at time of assembly.
The PIX is a PC box without hard disk, when the BIOS message accidentally comes up through serial, it states "This box doesn't have mouse!, Keyboards! nor "A" drive!".
This is also sometimes related to the terminal software you use. (Try using another software to connect to the PIX).
Please follow the following procedure to disable the console redirection:
1.Reboot system
2.When you see "PhoenixPICOBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0" or something similar to this statement, hit "F2" on the keyboard.
3.When you see "Press to enter SETUP" on the screen, hit "F2" again - this takes you into the bios setup menu.
4.From the setup menu, use your arrow (right) key to tab over to "Advanced" option.
5.Use your arrow (down) key to tab down to "Com Port Address" - you should see "[Motherboard ComA]" highlighted.
6.Hit which will bring up a menu of options - choose "Disable" by using the arrow (up) key and hit to accept this option.
7.Now, use the arrow (right) key to tab over to the "Exit" option in the top menu.
8.At this point, the "Setup Confirmation" window will prompt you to "Save configuration changes and exit now?" You will also see that "Yes" is automatically highlighted". Hit save and exit.
9.At this point, you will not be able to ever enter the motherboard bios setup screen again (this is recommended & typically is not necessary)
If this doesn't work please restart the terminal software you're using (HyperTerminal or other).
If this does not solve the issue, the PIX may have failed.
