PIX 515E & SBSv2003

I have not had much experience working with DMZ's before. Really just wondering if I should and can run the Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Standard in a DMZ. SBS 2003 Server will be hosting our Company email and public website, as well as an internal intranet site. LAN clients will be authenticating to the Active Directory on SBS as well as using the Fax Server.

My PIX 515E has three ethernet adapters and the SBS 2003 server has two. What would be the best practice for setting up an environment such as this?

Typically, a good design requires that the servers accessible from the outside world be placed on the DMZ. You could refer to the PIX support for configuration examples http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Hardware:PIX&viewall=true.

To setup a mail server on the DMZ, follow the instructions at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a008015efa9.shtml
