PIX DHCP Client

Taking the example of the vpn3002, when it is configured as dhcp client, the number of retries is infinite.

In the case of pix , the number of retries as dhcp client is from 4 to 16, it force to reload(unplug and plug the power cord) or via the CLI (wich is not allowed to the customer in MSS products) reconfigure the outside interface to restart the dchp requests.

I think that i cant change this to infitinte retries in the pix, how can i address this problem?

Just a thought, try shutting down and un-shutting the interface, not sure if it'll restart sending hcp requests, but give it a go.

Yes , is the same case to

ip add out dhcp setroute

but, im trying to address this problem related to

140 customers with Managed Security Systems, where the customers doesnt have access to the CLI or PDM.

all the management is made by the NOC with CSPM. the only action that the end user can do is unplug the power cord.

sorry but i guess they don't have much choice there.
