PIX Firewall Manager Logging capabilities

I just got a PIX 506 (5.1) and I was wondering if it worthwhile to install the PIX Firewall Manager or should I get (and probably pay for) PFSS?

I understand the basic difference of both but I am not sure in term of logs, which one is better considering the following:

Setup

Report

Ease of use

Any experience or lesson learned would be much appreciated

Try them both. They’re both free. Pix Firewall Manager is supposed to be replaced by another gui soon and won’t do the reporting. The Syslog Server is just a simple text-based syslog server. If you really want a great way to analyze your syslogs, check out www.opensystems.com a Cisco partner. These guys have a product called Private I that you can download an eval copy of. You’ll want to buy it after you see how well it works.
