We have a pair of 6509s and I was wondering if cabling each PIX in failover pair to a different 6509 would cause any issues. Thx.

As long as the interfaces are on the same VLAN it shouldn't be an issue. I have that set up myself but the failover interface is cabled directly without a switch.

Exactly how I planned to set it up. It seemed pointless to setup failover on the PIXs with the switch being a single point of failure. Thanks a lot.
