PIX static and OSPF default route

Dear all,

Can PIX configure two default route with equal cost for load balancing?

How about can PIX receive two equal cost of OSPF default route for load balancing?

From what I know and read with regards to the pix:

1. I don't believe that static routes will help as the pix doesn't have a way to determine if the gateway is down.

2. As far as OSPF is concerned, I think you can have multiple default routes with the same metric. I have not configured OSPF on any pix that I work with, but nothing in the documents state that equal-cost multi-pathing will not work.

It is important to understand that the pix ASA algorithm will not allow multiple paths over different interfaces (physical or logical). So all default-route gateways must be off the same interface.
