I've got a PIX 515E that we haven't been using for awhile and I want to configure it for another site. However, I don't know what the enable password is on it. How do I break into it?
Thanks.

Depends on the version, but you have to upload the appropriate "npxx.bin" file. Go here:http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/34.shtml

i have the same problem as the original poster. My pix 515E is "old" and predates my arrival. I have no documentation thus i don't know what the last s/w version was, nor the IP addresses that were last used. The guy before me left in a "hurry"
do i have to try all 11 .bin files until one works?
Also, do i need to know the current ip address assigned to the E0 or E1 ports? Is there an easy way just to nuke the whole config including password?
That way i can just install the latest OS. I do not need or want the old config.
