Hi,

I have the Following scenario, The source on the DMZ will be accessing the Server at Inside. when ever It downs, the same traffic has to reach the another Server with the same IP which is on the Inside as well.

Is it Possible to route the traffic with Same IP?

I guess when you are talking about two servers having the same ip you are talking about the servers being clustered. So you don't have to worry about two servers having same ip. You just need your route inside command. Also i guess you would know for traffic moving from DMZ to inside you need a static nat and access-list to allow the traffic to flow.

Hi,

The Setup is Somthing different scenario as you thought, the secondary server has already configured with other range of IP and in remote location, the IP details are:

Primary: 10.2.X.X

Secondary : 172.31.X.X

Whenever primary goes down, the user has to reach the secondary machine with the primary IP.

The condtion is, on the both Client and server end there should not be a IP Address changes.

Kindly let me know possibility for the above.

Using IOS SLB / any other Loadbalancer -

Do a Load balancing between the 2 Servers & give priority for the 1 st server.

If the 1 st server goes down, the traffic will be sent to the 2nd.
